Site policy

Privacy policy

This is a static site with no accounts, no login, no database of visitors, and no server-side code. The short version: almost nothing is collected here, and this page sets out exactly what the exceptions are.

Independent fan resource. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by infiniteloop Co., Ltd., Valve/Steam, or any character rights holder.

No accounts

There is no sign-up, no login, no profile, and no password. Nothing on this site asks who you are.

No forms

There is no contact form, comment box, newsletter, or search box that submits anywhere. The only way to reach us is email, which you send from your own client.

No server

The site is static files on a CDN. There is no application server, no API, and no database in which visitor data could be stored.

What is collected

Two things, and nothing else:

What is never collected

No name, email address, password, payment detail, Steam credential, or Desktop Mate account data. None of these are requested anywhere on the site, and there is no mechanism that could receive them. If a page ever asks you for a Steam password or asks you to disable your antivirus, you are not on this site.

External services

Pages here link out to Steam, infiniteloop, GitHub, Nexus Mods, VRoid, and other third parties. Once you follow such a link you are on their property and their privacy policy applies, not this one. Embedded content is not used: nothing from those services is loaded into these pages, so they do not see you until you click through.

Children

This site is a general-audience technical guide about a desktop application. It is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the date at the end of this page. Because the site is versioned as static files, the previous wording is not retained publicly; if you need to know what this page said on a given date, ask and we will tell you.

Advertising, cookies, and your choices

This site displays advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or to other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites on the internet. Those vendors may also use web beacons, device identifiers, and your IP address to measure and deliver advertising.

You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. Opt-out controls for a wider set of advertising vendors are available at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu. Blocking cookies in your browser also prevents them being set.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, personalised advertising and non-essential cookies require your consent, and you may withdraw that consent at any time. If you are a California resident, this site does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

Ad display and fill depend on factors such as visitor location, consent choices, browser settings, and available campaigns. Some visits may not show an ad.

Measurement

This site uses a self-hosted Plausible Analytics instance for aggregate traffic measurement. It records page addresses, referrer, approximate country, browser, and device type. It does not set advertising cookies, does not build a cross-site profile, and does not identify individual visitors.

Your data and how to reach us

This is a static site. It has no accounts, no login, no database of visitors, no contact form, and no server-side processing of personal data. Nothing you type is collected because there is nowhere to type it. For any privacy question, or to ask what is held about you, write to [email protected].
